You'll recall that the UFW, FLOC, PCUN and individual farmworkers are suing -- with our help as one of the counsel on the case in federal court -- the Department of Labor over the Bush-Chao midnight regulations on the H-2A guestworker program.  On May 29, Secretary Solis formaly announced that she had decided to suspend the Bush-Chao changes as of June 28, 2009, and reinstate the former regulations.  This week the North Carolina Growers Association and some other grower groups have filed a lawsuit against Secretary Solis in federal court in Greensboro, North Carolina, seeking an injunction to overturn at least parts of her suspension.  We and our co-counsel are working with our clients to respond appropriately.
