Worth reading: pithy and correct: "The Case for Health Insurance for Illegals "| Newsweek Politics
http://www.newsweek.com/id/215340 "Insuring undocumented immigrants might be unpopular, but it would be good for the economy."
Not only would be smart from a public health perspective, but it would avoid creating more incentives for employers to hire undocumented workers (who'd be cheaper to hire because they wouldn't be covered by health insurance).

Addendum: Some members of Congress, like Rep. Luis Gutierrez, are suggesting that the President should support undocumented workers' inclusion in health care reform, and that they may oppose legislation that excludes them. Yay. A debate is starting.
