It takes a village: coalition won policy change in guestworker program

Major reform of government policy doesn't just happen. It takes the efforts of many people and community organizations. The reversal of the Bush Administration's terrible changes to the H-2A agricultural guestworker program came about through many efforts over the past year. The following groups responded to the request of Farmworker Justice and the United Farm Workers to join in on formal comments submitted to the Department of Labor regarding its proposed regulations. We thank these organizations for their assistance, as well as many other organizations and individuals who submitted their own comments and made other contributions that brought about this important change.
