Interfaith Vigil and Action for Farmworkers

Tuesday, July 28, 2009  12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Los Angeles

Fifteen farm workers have died heat-related deaths since 2004.  The law requires water, shade, rest breaks, and training, but the laws on the books are not the laws in the fields.  Help us to honor the lives of these 15 farm workers and speak out for justice. Where:  Los Angeles Wholesale Produce Market, on Olympic one block west of Alameda St.  Olympic and McGarry St.  Contact: 323-893-9605,

UFW and National Farm Worker Ministry.  Both the UFW and the National Farm Worker Ministry have representatives on the Board of Directors of Farmworker Justice.
